You Can't Take A Ho To The Hotel Cafe
Morning Spy/Seven/Kelly Dalton/Josh Radin/Ana Egge @ Hotel Cafe
05.13.05
Friday the 13th I went out to the Hotel Cafe with a friend to see SF-based indie-pop band Morning Spy play (woah... run-on much?). I went because I had come across their music more than a year ago and I've been singing their praises for ages.
In their too short set they were able to prove how eager they were to get out there and bang it out and bang it in. Hell, they were almost as eager as I was to see them play. Also in the set was my request for "Overnite" complete with crickets. Ok, I'm pretty sure it was on the setlist already.
They're out (go see them) supporting their second CD The Silver Age (go get it). And who knows, maybe they'll be the next breakout band from San Francisco.
